# Instrumento de flujo

**Descripción ISO 16739-1:2018:** Un IfcFlowInstrument lee y muestra el valor de una propiedad particular de un sistema en un punto, o muestra la diferencia en el valor de una propiedad entre dos puntos.

La instrumentación generalmente tiene el propósito de determinar el valor de la propiedad en un momento dado. El propósito de un instrumento no es registrar o integrar los valores a lo largo del tiempo (aunque pueden estar conectados a dispositivos de registro que realizan tal función). Esta entidad prevé todas las formas de instrumentos de flujo mecánicos (termómetros, manómetros, etc.) e instrumentos de flujo eléctricos (amperímetros, voltímetros, etc.)
